PNG files are optimized with oxipng, so pixels stay identical. An effort slider from 0 to 6 trades speed for a smaller file, and the top levels are marked slow.
mozjpeg for JPEG
JPEG files are re-encoded with mozjpeg at the quality you choose, from 1 to 100.
WebP re-encoding
WebP files are re-encoded at the same quality setting. Each file keeps its own format.
Batch with total savings
Drop many files and compress them together, three at a time. Each file shows its size change, and the header shows the total saved.
Originals stay intact
Results are saved as name-min next to the original, or in a folder you pick. Existing files are never overwritten.
Is PNG compression lossless?
Yes. PNG files go through oxipng, which recompresses the data without changing pixels. JPEG and WebP files are lossy and are re-encoded at the quality you set.
Can I compress AVIF or GIF files?
No. The compressor accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP only. To change the format of other images, use the Image Converter.
