Notepad
A multi-tab scratchpad that keeps your notes between sessions.
Half-finished commands, copied error messages and to-do fragments need somewhere to live while you work. The Notepad gives you tabbed plain-text notes that are saved automatically and restored the next time you open the app. Everything stays on your machine, and quotes are never converted to curly ones.
Multiple notes as tabs
Keep several notes open at once, switch between them with a click and delete the ones you no longer need.
Automatic saving
Notes are stored locally in the app as you type, and the last active note is reopened on launch.
Cursor and scroll restored
The app remembers the caret position, selection and scroll position of each note, so you return to where you left off.
Rename by double-click
Double-click a tab title to rename it, press Enter to confirm or Escape to cancel.
Code-friendly editing
Spellcheck, autocorrect and autocapitalize are off, so pasted commands and snippets stay exactly as written. Cmd+N or Ctrl+N creates a new note.
Where are my notes stored?
Notes are saved in the app's local storage on your computer. They are not synced or uploaded anywhere, so they stay on the machine where you wrote them.
What is the keyboard shortcut for a new note?
Press Cmd+N or Ctrl+N while the Notepad is open to create a new note.
